I believe in a Family First model and approach to leadership. Creating a work culture that promotes a healthy and balanced home and work life; attracts and retains quality staff. This includes encouraging self-care and continuous personal and professional growth. In turn, our advocacy team is equipped and able to devote our full energy and attention to those whom we serve. At HOPE we take great pride and responsibility in providing a high level of individualized and human centered services to domestic violence victim/survivors.
I started as an intern at HOPE/AADA back in 2008 . I was fortunate to join this amazing team as an advocate in 2010. This has allowed me the privilege of paying it forward by helping victims
of domestic abuse. I have met some of the most incredible courageous women over the years, who have emerged from the depths of darkness. I believe all people deserve to live a life without violence, including verbal and emotional abuse. We promote healthy families and I hope that someday there will not be a need for agencies like ours, but in the meantime, I will continue to fight this battle to end domestic abuse.
Working alongside the remarkable HOPE team has been a truly inspiring journey, filled with chances to learn and grow. I am here to assist our team and all who seek HOPE’s help, sparking hope and creating a better future for all. When I’m not in the office I enjoy spending time with my growing family, exploring farmers markets and reading a good book.
Supporting the Advocates at HOPE is the most fulfilling aspect of my job. They perform incredible work, and assisting them is truly rewarding. Awareness is very important to me also. Anything I can do to make people aware of HOPE, is a success. Outside of work at HOPE, I enjoy camping with my family during the summer and curling in the winter.
