Supporting the Advocates at HOPE is the most fulfilling aspect of my job. They perform incredible work, and assisting them is truly rewarding. Awareness is very important to me also. Anything I can do to make people aware of HOPE, is a success. Outside of work at HOPE, I enjoy camping with my family during the summer and curling in the winter.

I started as an intern at HOPE/AADA back in 2008 . I was fortunate to join this amazing team as an advocate in 2010.  This has allowed me the privilege of paying it forward by helping victims

of domestic abuse. I have met some of the most incredible courageous women over the years, who have emerged from the depths of darkness. I believe all people deserve to live a life without violence, including verbal and emotional abuse. We promote healthy families and I hope that someday there will not be a need for agencies like ours, but in the meantime, I will continue to fight this battle to end domestic abuse.

I am excited about being a part of the Hope team.  From an early age I’ve always felt passionate in advocating for the injustice against domestic violence victims which brought me to study my major in Criminology.  As a Domestic Violence Advocate I will dedicate to ensure that no one must navigate the path to safety alone.  I will offer a unique perspective that prioritizes empathy, dignity, and cultural competence.  I look forward to providing resources, emotional support, and system changes. My mission is to protect the vulnerable and amplify the voices of those silenced by domestic violence.    Outside of work, I enjoy traveling to new places as much as possible with friends and family.

Being given the opportunity to fulfill my internship(s) at HOPE has been an inspiring and exciting experience. Working with this team and its advocates has felt rewarding in all the ways that these women continue to bring healthy change to our community. I look forward to the new experiences and learning opportunities that HOPE has for me. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family and reading.
